Comments & reactions

Comments are anonymous unless you add a name. We store a one-way hash of your IP address (with a salt that rotates monthly) to stop spam; we never store the raw address. Reactions are tied to a random token in a functional cookie, never to you.

Newsletter

We use double opt-in: nothing is sent until you confirm. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe. We count aggregate opens only — no per-reader tracking pixels.

Analytics

We measure page views and performance with our own cookieless, aggregated analytics. No advertising or third-party tracking scripts run on this site. Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) loads only when you use a form.

Cookies

We set one functional cookie for readers (`v_id`, an anonymous token for reactions and spam control, 1 year) and session cookies for the editor’s admin login. No consent banner is needed because nothing is used for tracking or advertising.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete your comments, your newsletter subscription or any optional email you gave us. Write to the address below; we reply within 30 days.
