EU AI Act
The EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) is the European Union's law on artificial intelligence, regulating AI systems by risk level and setting separate rules for general-purpose AI models. It entered into force on August 1, 2024 and applies in stages; several deadlines were moved by the "AI Omnibus" amendment that entered into force on July 27, 2026.
